Someone who spends too much of their life talking to people on the net
A talker is a telnettable chat room
Yes. It can be found at http://spodlist.org/privacy and there is also a P3P computer-readable policy for the site.
Yes. Your postings are not linked in any way to your identity, and your identity is not listed anywhere on the site except where you enter it yourself.
Are you sure that wasn't just you forgetting that you signed up?
Well, it can happen, email verification is now required (but wasn't in the early days) for all new accounts, but there's nothing to stop people from signing up using your name. I'm not a private detective
Use the feedback form to tell me about it and we'll sort it out.

No. We will only send you updates if you have requested this service in your preferences. We will never willingly disclose your private details to any third party. However (isn't there always a however?) if you have elected to submit your details to the site and have included your email address (which is part of the whole spodlist idea, after all) then there's nothing to stop a dirty-raincoated stalker looking you up and sending you spam himself.
No. And we don't intend on starting, what's the point?
If you really feel something is unwarranted, send me a mail (use the feedback form provided) and I'll remove it. However, gossip is supposed to be free-flowing and anarchic.
No. That would be dumb. Individuals may be biased, the author of this site restricts himself to commenting in the same way as everyone else, and nothing gets edited (except under extreme circumstances - see above)
Yes. It's pretty much constantly under construction at the moment until everyone's happy with it. If you have any suggestions, use the feedback form and tell us them
Probably. There's a lot of extra fields we could add, it's a matter of choosing the most sensible ones so people don't get bogged down with huge forms. For the moment, put this sort of thing into the description section of your details
Not yet, no. Such functionality might be added sometime in the future, who knows?
My name's Ben, and I'm currently a "resting coder". I live in the UK, and pretty much sit in front of a computer for most of my life.
PHP with MySQL. All the pages are dynamically created depending on how you linked to them and what's in the database
No, it's not. The author also coded Atlantis for a while, but that was just a hobby.
